Help with a casual restaurant on/near rue de Rivoli, M. Saint-Paul

I'll be in Paris for 3 days later this month. I know pretty much what I'll be doing/when but I'd like help finding a place to eat the evening I arrive.

It will be a hellaciously loooong travel day (two over night flights, train in from London -- total exhaustion :) )

I get into Gare du Nord around 6PM and by the time I get to the hotel and checked in it will probably be close to 7:00 and I'll be running on fumes. My hotel is on rue de Rivoli between Saint-Paul and Hotel De Ville. If I have a 2nd wind and am up to wandering that night, there are lots of places I might eat. But I'd like some suggestions for casual places to eat that are very near the hotel (and wouldn't require booking) just in case I'm in collapse mode.

Ideas?

We have have stayed in that area 3 times and have enjoyed Au Bouquet St. Paul and Les Chimères near the St Paul Metro Stop on Rue St Antoine

I was going to suggest Bouquet St Paul too!! We take an apt across the streetand dine there several nights on each trip/ It is a very local place food is excellent and the fixed price menu is reasonable. And berthillion ice cream is served.

sometimes, when in collapse mode, you are just looking for comfort food... so as a "something different", I'll suggest Breakfast in America. Nothing like pancakes to fill the belly after a day of traveling. The Right Bank location isn't far from metro St. Paul.

La Tartine, 24 rue de Rivoli. I ate lunch there several times on my last trip to Paris after trying it once the previous year and wishing I had gone again. Great salads, everything else looked good too.

I suggest walking a block east from the Metro, then turning north one short block on rue de Sevinge and making the first turn to the east on Rue Ormesson. Between Sevigne and rue de Turenne you will find Place Sainte-Catherine, a tiny park with upwards of 10 casual bistrots scattered around it, serving various styles of cuisine to clients from the surrounding neighbourhood. A quick look at Google Maps will show you that the location isn't as complicated as it sounds.

Wow - lots of good ideas. thanks. I may be in auto pilot by then so it will help to have a few options figured out in case one or more are crowded/full up.

I'll check all these out and enter the most promising in my iPad so I won't even have to think :)

Quick update. I didn't actually end up eating a real dinner that night. Had a lovely lunch in London and after walking around the marais and islands for a couple of hours and taking a vedettes Pont Neuf ended up just getting a chicken crepe from a stand and ate in my room with a wine split I smuggled from the flight :)

But I did make it to La Tartine the next night and it was really good. Would have eaten there again but ran out of days.

Had one lunch open air in the Tuileries and another splurge but wonderful lunch at Ciel de Paris
