Help with 3 day Paris Itinerary
 

Hi! I am traveling to London and Paris this June with a group of friends. We are a group of 4 teachers all in our 20's and 30's, first time in Paris for all of us.

I am hoping I can get help with putting some order to our list of activities.

We will be arriving in Paris from London on a Sunday - late afternoon, and leaving Wednesday morning. We are staying on Rue Cler at Hotel L'Eveque.

We are interested in seeing the Eiffel Tour and going to the top, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and riding both the night and day tours with Mike's Bike Tours.

Any suggestions for our group? Thanks!

What do you like to do? museums? shopping? You might want to take one of the Seine river tours which I find enjoyable and you get see some of the major sites. Or get one of the "hop on/hop off" bus passes and you can take that around to all the major sites or just enjoy the ride sitting on the upper deck. I enjoy walking and really enjoy wandering around the Marais. If y ou are going to Notre Dame, wander around the Ile de St. Louis - nice shops, and interesting buildings. I'm sure you will find lots to do. There are nice bistros in the area of your hotel and also nearby in the St. Germain area. I love to sit in the Tuileries and people watch. Since your hotel is near the Eiffel Tower, I would go there the first night when it and the city are lighted. Sunday--Notre Dame, with a quick walk through the bird market, over to Ile St. Louis for a walk through and ice cream, then over to the Marais which is busy, busy on Sunday because most of it is open due to the Jewish population; the Mike's Bikes tours are I believe three hours each so they would take a big chunk out of whatever days you do them; d'Orsay and Louvre alternate their closed days so you could do one Monday and the other Tuesday; each Tuesday there is a free fashion show at Galerie Lafayette (reservations needed; can do from their website) and it only takes an hour; the city is very pretty from any of the Seine night boat rides. Don't forget to eat and get some sleep.....

From your hotel, it's only a short walk to Rodin's home... gorgeous gardens. Also, you could take bus #80 to Montmartre. Pick it up on Avenue Bosquet, which is 3 streets away from the rue Cler.
