?????? 1 night>
I thought Tomar was really neat and less touristed - Fatima could also be on that route if that intrigues you -even for a short stop by. |
Do you know where you stayed??
|
I did not stay in Tomar but was transiting it by train and spend 3-4 hours looking around before boarding another train to Lison.
|
Hotel dos Templários is the nicest property in Tomar. We spent the night in early November. Parking is free.
|
MMMomma— perhaps I missed this item: where are you staying in Porto?
Anyone have a recommendation? Thanks! |
auntgrapes - staying at the Intercontinental.
Thanks Robert. Did you enjoy Tomar? Still deciding. |
Tomar is good for a day, and the hotel is very comfortable.
|
Booked the hotel! Done!!! Still gotta pick the car and now on to activities and food.
|
Thank you, MBMomma.

Hi, I'm from Lisbon,
Yes, it's doable. You'are not going to the south! Yes you are, the Algarve is in the south. By the way, the most beautiful towns for me in the Algarve are Lagos or Tavira. From Lisbon to the Algarve are more or less 3 hours drive using the Highway. You'll stay in Coimbra for 2 days, are you plan to see something else than the city? because 1 day is enough to see Coimbra. Off course there are plenty to see around the city. The same goes by to Évora, 1 day is enough, but around the city there are plenty to see. |
