Help...wich destination for 2 weeks in February
I am planning a two weeks trip in Europe in February, max 3 cities i dont want to rent a car, any suggestions?

Venice, Naples & Rome. Travel between city by train. One country, three different experience.

I think you need to do some thinking for yourself and at least tell the Fodors community what kind of interests you have. Do you want to see cities, countryside, mountains, sea? Are you interestsed in food, art, history, flora and fauna, shopping?

Feb in Europe is pretty crappy weather. What do you want to do and see? that will guide our suggestions...

What i am looking for? Cities , day to day live, museum, food, photography, history
Thanks for your ideas ! |
Yes - but do you want cities in midwinter? Some get a lot of cold and snow, some are more moderate and if you head for southern Spain you may get a temp as high as 60 some days.
In midwinter I would go for places with more chance of snow - like Prague, Berlin etc - rather than more southern places that are more likely to be chilly/rainy. |
Yes to nytraveler! A really snowy city is better than icy slushy rain.
I went to Paris in Feb and it was cold. Not a lot of snow but I thought my nose was going to break off. That said, Paris was great in Feb. We spent a week and a half and I could have stayed for a full 2 weeks. Plenty to do there even if it's cold. |
Is this your first trip to Europe? Cities are best in winter as they have the most to do indoors. Try Florence, Rome and Naples or Madrid and Andalucia. 0r, if you know the weather will likely not be nice and are OK with that, go to London, Amsterdam and Paris.
