Help! Where to go in mid October!!
Hello,
We are a couple in our mid thirties and would like to go somewhere in Europe that still has good weather in mid October. Total trip about 5-6 nights.
We will be celebrating our anniversary and usually like places that have restaurants cafes some shopping etc and a great 5 star hotel preferable on the beach!
I was thinking maybe south of Italy, or Croatia or cyprus? Any recommendations and particular cities please anywhere!
Thanks for the help!

For a visit of less than a week, you might look at the logistics of getting to some places from your home city before becoming too invested in one idea or another. For example, what would it take to get to Cyprus? A beach town in Croatia? For me, coming from Los Angeles, even Sicily would be too long a combo of flights for a short visit.
Once you've narrowed your scope, look for 5* hotels and see what appeals and what's available for your dates. A few beach properties often begin closing for the season in mid-October.
One of my all-time "dream" hotels is La Posta Vecchia, a former Getty villa converted to a hotel. It's less than an hour's drive from the Rome airport. Its sister hotel Il Pellicano, about an hour farther north, is also a great property but with a very different, more traditionally beach atmosphere. Both hotels close for the season on October 16th.

Andalusia is still hot in the fall. I spent the third week of October in Seville, and the temperature averaged 30℃ everyday.
You could spend 3 days in Seville to enjoy the flamenco and tapas scene, and 3 days in Malaga or Cadiz to get your beach fix.

Another vote for Spain, perhaps Andalusia.
IMO, Sicily and Croatia have FAR too much too offer to make sense with your time frame, and you would spend FAR too much time in transit just to have too little time to spend.
