Help! Where is Varga, Italy
 

I will be in Italy in May and am trying to locate the grave of a relative (great-great grandfather). It's supposed to be in Varga. Can anyone help me with information on this town, i.e. where is it, how to get there, what it is like, etc.?

Are you sure about the spelling? <BR> <BR>In the index of my TCI's Atlante, which reports all Italian communes and their fractions there isn't any Varga. <BR> <BR>A Vargo, three Varda, many Varco. Many other less exact matches. It could be Vagli? Or Varzo? <BR> <BR>Knowing the approximate size and the region would help to narrow down the many alternatives. <BR> <BR>Marco <BR>

Oops---I made a typo. The city is Barga, Italy where my great-great grandfather was born and raised. His grave is supposed to be at the church in Loppia. Will I be able to locate this town and will anyone speak English? Thanks for all the help.
