Help, whats the church in Edinburgh that has a cafateria down stairs?
We were in E/burgh 2 years ago and did an open top bus tour. The lady running the commentary pointed out a church where a book sale was going on. She said we should have lunch down stairs. It was wonderful, sat at comunal table with the 'oldies' and had soup and sandwhiches for 3 pound. I wrote all this down but not the name of the church.
My daughter has just arrived in E/burgh, her bf is off to the golf. I've told her about the church via skype. Would anyone know the church I'm talking about???

Could be St Giles as well,I amtying to think of the places the tour buses pass.
St Giles is right on the Royal Mile and is a cathedral rather than a church, but I do know St Johns often has book sales on in there.

It's probably St John's where the cafe is now run by Hendersons.
But it could also be St Andrew's and St George's in George Street.
There's also a cafe in St George's West church on Shandwick Terrace
