Help! What town should I stay in in Corsica?

My friend and I are going to be in Corsica for 7 days in mid June. We would like to stay in a town where there are some restaurants etc. Yet we would also like to be in walking distance to a beautiful beach.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Im thinking perhaps we should stay in Porto Vechio, Calvi or L'lle Rousse?

What does ttt mean?

In your language?

ttt is a way to get the thread back to the top of the list, so that people see it.

I'd suggest splitting your time, if you can, between two towns so that you can get a sense of the differences in scenery.

It means "To the top." BowenLinda was helping to get your post noticed. I'd also be interested in knowing which town is a favorite. Why am I thinking Ajaccio is nice? Seems I've seen an article about it. You might want to check it out.

We stayed in several towns, and while the beach is wonderful in the Calvi area and it's a very nice town, I liked the more "foreign" feel of Ajaccio more.
