Help Wanted: Teen "tour guide" Paris

My wife's boss will be in Paris during the week of July 27th thru August 2nd.

He will be with his 3 daughters (ages 14, 11, and 10). He is looking for someone who can relate to teenagers to spend some time with them (3 days perhaps 5 hours a day) to speak French and English with them, show them some of Paris and basically be a "French friend." Not a babysitter, but rather someone who can give them some perspective on being a teen in Paris.

He is willing to pay for these services.

If you know of someone who might be interested, please respond here and to [email protected].

Will he be with the children or will he leave the children with the guide? If he's leaving the children I would consider this babysitting service. Does he want someone already in Paris or will he pay for a plane ticket and hotel?

Are you looking for a student or a more mature adult?

If you don't find anyone contact Paris Walks; they may be able to accommodate you for private tours or recommend someone.

Perhaps a college student or the like would be the ideal candidate. I believe he would accompany the kids at first.

Looking for someone who lives in Paris.

He wants his kids to share some experiences and learn about Paris through a teen that lives there. More of a "friend" than a baby sitter.

The girls speak some Frence, so it would be an opportunity to speak some French and see some of Paris' sites with a French teen.

I'm the go between here. My wife was given this task so I thought fodors.com might be a good place to start.

Are you specifically looking for a male to do this job? Not that I can recommend someone, but it wouldn't necessarily be my first choice for a companion for three young girls.

Highly, highly recommend

If she is not available (as she is very busy), she will make recommendations that are also very reliable.

djkbooks...Thanks! My wife is in contact! Great recommendation!

WillTravel..thanks for the concern. Born in NYC area, we are familiar with the dregs of society waiting to take advantage of the naive. Where I'm from, you grow up with 4 sets of eyes. You are always aware of what is happening around you.

Basically looking for an interactive French experience with some one that the 3 teen girls can relate to and engage with while seeing some sights and eating meals etc.

A younger in twenties type person probably a girl or young woman would fit the bill.
