Help w/Spanish Riding School Seating

Greattings all-

Anyone out there been to a performance of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna (Wein)? Spouse and I are going in late May.
I am trying to figure which seating area provides the best view of the performance.
I dont mind the expense as its a birthday treat.
Suggestions??
Thanks in advance

Many prefer the Parterreloge row 1 or a little higher the Hofloge row 1.
These are better in my opinion than those seats on the" long side "

Please note in german

Wein = wine

Wien= Vienna

Thank you!
Sorry for the dull spelling...

No need to say sorry - it often happens especially after some wein.

molker is exactly right. the BEST seats for this type of performance are at the "heads" ( short ends) of the rectangular ring.

Sorry to chime in, but does anyone know if there are performances in early December? I'd love to see the Lippizaner Stallions. Also where are Mozart recitals typically held, and how do you acquire tickets? Thanks, Greg

you will find some morning exercises and also performances in early Dcember for the horses. - look for the schedule at

www.srs.at

ticket info there also.

Regarding Mozart concerts - you find all forms of these concerts - some with much better quality than others- some by musicians in costumes and wigs playing a mix of Strauss and Mozart - Visiting you will be surrounded by ticket sellers near busy sightseeing places such as the Hofburg and Stephansdom- high pressure sales of expensive tickets to lesser quality performances .
I would avoid them.
You can always check such classic venues as the Musikverein for something during your stay

www.musikverein.at

otr perhaps the Mozart concert at the Sala Terrana concert hall - very small but beautiful hall said to be the oldest in Vienna.
Music is ok there to me.

www.mozarthaus.at

for the above mentioned mozart concert

Lipizzaner shows and mozart concerts are available at the official ticket office Concert Vienna http://www.concertvienna.com

it is a good idea to take a look, compare prices, see what would be of interst to you.

Molker is quite right about the concerts in Sala Terrena at Mozart Haus - i can also recommend them. The concerts at the Hofburg, the Vienna Mozart Orchestra at the Musikverein, and the concerts at the Kursalon are also good.

I believe that the Spanish Riding School and Frau Gurtler would cosider their own website that includes much ticket information and the ability to buy tickets

www.srs.at

their " official" website
