Help w/ Sicily planning
Hello-
We are two couples off to Sicily in September. Both couples are celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary! We are having trouble figuring out how to get from Catania back to Florence. Is it better to take an overnight ferry from Catania to Naples and drive the 4+ hours to Florence? Or should we fly? If we plan on taking the ferry, should we make and pay for the reservation well before our trip? Which ferry service is prefered? We are thinking about staying in Capo San Vito; any hotel suggestions?? All your experience and opinions are much appreciated! |

Hi Sis - You might want to check out airfares.
MERIDIANA fly Catania-Florence http://www.meridiana.it WINDJET fly Catania-Pisa http://w2.volawindjet.it/ Hope this helps ... Steve |
I would definitely fly so you don't have to waste the time and effort doing the train/ferry which is tiresome.Websites above are perfect for discounted fares especially this far out. Have fun!

Seeing that you are going all the way to Florence I would fly also. It's fast and the prices are good. You also get a beautiful look and Sicily, Etna, Taormina and the Aeolian Island from the plane.
