Since Winchester was mentioned earlier in this thread - one of the kids tv shows was talking about the Notions this morning. Bogles, mug, toytime ... I don't remember many now - strat is one.

Sorry to hijack the thread.

Those bloody notions. People have written books on them you know - whole books. Without pictures.

I was listening to I'm sorry I haven't a clue when tim Brooke Taylor (an OW) was quizzed on notions - I got more than him, but not many.

I can however remember how many feathers in a clump (I'd have to kill you if I told you).

I wonder if they still do Morning Hills after they put in the bypass?

Morning Hills sounds much too early! Don't like doing things before 7 ....

Probably gather from my name that I wasn't there.

Carrie - I was, and there were a few boys that I wasn't that sure about - and for all I know could have had the op.

My late brother was in Du Boulays a couple of years later than you. Which house were you in - if you don't mind me being nosy.

You'd be amazed where I have bumped into OWs (and that includes prison)

I have bumped into OWs in the following places:

A sex-show in Bangkok

Pentonville prison

The isle of Mull

The Bulldog Bash Hell's Angels party

Driving a tube train

and any number of pubs in Putney (which is a bit of a Wykehamists enclave - which is one reason I moved)

We get around.

Not me.

I'm just wondering if Cypriot teams play the full ninety minutes and all of the extra time -- in which case Spurs, who do not, are likely to be in somne surprising trouble.

audere:

Guess you checked out at least one pub in the OW enclave last saturday, right?

By the way, try to convince Jol not to substitute Robbie Keane, even if leading by two goals (been there, seen it). If you go through, we might yet meet (and you are very welcome to it).

Phil.

Yup - The Brick, the only decent pub in Putney - no OWs to be seen.

The Dukes Head is a bit of an OE hang-out, so I avoid it - I disdain the floppy haired fops.

He's the exception that proves the rule. And he's actually clever.
