Help! Sept visit to Aero/Fyn/Svendborg???
 

It's my first visit to Denmark. I'm planning to spend 4 nites/3 days in Copenhagen beginning Sept 1st and then are thinking about renting a car and go into the countryside for 3 nites. Afterwards, onto Brugges and Ghent.
Looking for charming villages and some easy biking.
What do you think about staying in Svendborg and visiting Aero and exploring Fyn?
Is it too late in the season? if it rains, will we have something to see/do?
Or other suggestions?
