Help - Review My Proposed Itinerary
 
Hi Everyone -

Thanks to everyone for your initial feedback. I've trimmed my plans and came up with the following. Any feedback, or "bad ideas" on this itinerary please let know, Thank you! :)

Day One Arrive Zurich in am

Train to Lucern then Brienz

Night One Overnight in Brienz

Day Two Aare Gorge, Geissbach Falls.

Boat from Brienz to Interlaken

Train from Interlaken to Grindlewald

Night Two Grindlewald

Day Three Grindlewald

Night Three Grindlewald

Day 4 Train to Lauterbrunnen

Explore Lauterbrunnen

Train, etc to Gimmelwald

Exlore Gimmelwald, Murren – lunch at Eidelweiss

Train back to Grindlewald

Night Four Grindlewald

Day 5 Jungraujoch

Train from Grindlewald to Kanderstag

Night Five Kanderstag

Day 6 Gondola to Oeschinensee

Oeschinensee Hike

Train to Zermatt

Night 6 Zermatt

Day 7 Zermatt

Night 7 Zermatt

Day 8 Glacier Express Train – Zermatt to Chur

Train from Chur to Zurich

Night 8 Zurich

Day 9 Explore Zurich, fly home

Looks like a good plan to me. On day 3 in Grindelwald I suggest taking the cable car to First. You can do some hiking there. The restaurant and observation platform are great too. There are other hikes and cable cars, you could start the day at the TI, not far from the train station.

Day 5, Jungfraujoch. This trip is weather dependent. If the weather is good on day 3 or 4 you might want to swap things around. You can buy the ticket at the main train station.

I'm not familiar with Kanderstag. Is there a direct route from there to Visp / Zermat? If you have to go around the mountains, via Montreux, it will take around six hours.
