Help Required for Reasonable Priced City Center Rome Hotel
Hello..We are planning a trip to Rome, with my wife between the dates October 5-8, 2012. Booth of us are in our mid-30's We are in search of a nice, clean, reasonable priced city center hotel and we are looking forward to your suggestions. We do not want to spend more than 100 Euros/per night for the hotel. Our location preferrences will be around Spanish Stairs, Trevi Fountain, Navona, Spagna etc. Any help will really be appreciated.

That's a tight budget for right in the historical center but you will save money as you'll be able to walk everywhere!
Earlier this year I stayed at the Trevi Boutique Hotel http://www.leonardihotels.com/Boutiq.../index-eng.php , literally a minute from the Trevi fountain. Amazing location. Small rooms but clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast was included. I just checked and they are offering Euro 93/night for 3 night stays on your dates. This is a Nice hotel!
I'd definitely stay there again.
I've also stayed at the Hotel Cosmopolita. Wonderful location almost across from the Forum. Maybe a bit higher than your budget but worth it.
I don't like the area around the Termini station, it can be a bit gritty.
Try the http://www.the-beehive.com/. It's listed as a hostel/hotel. They also have private rooms, offer breakfast, a community room with fridge, etc so you can keep snacks.
Maybe someone here will post some places in the Trastevere. I haven't stayed there but hear good things about the hotels, restaurants and it's an area just across the river.

For those on a truly tight budget, you can rent a private room from a convent. Some are in the historic center. Just plug their addresses into google maps and you can see which are.
A room at a convent will be a simiple but private room. Some serve breakfast. Some have a curfew. The list below comes from Santa Susanna, the church in Rome dedicated to helping Americans.

Dear everone, thank you very much for all the useful and helpful advises and comments. İ still would be very happy if any more hotel recomendation is shared for the given budget. By the way, İ can pay 120 € per night for a city center location and clean hotel.

Both Hotels.com and booking.com have useful search engines that can do things like list hotels by price or distance from a specified location. You don't have to buy from them to use the search engines.
