help regarding removal firm in london

i want to know about removal companies in london because i am going to hire particular company on regular basis so guide me to the reputed firm.

jamikins Apr 16th, 2013 01:54 AM

I am not sure a travel forum will be able to provide with much help. Why not just google this?

Heimdall Apr 16th, 2013 02:00 AM

I can't help either, but are you talking about international or domestic moves?

sofarsogood Apr 16th, 2013 03:11 AM

I fail to see how this is travel related...?

hassel67 Apr 23rd, 2013 02:40 AM

sorry i did not get its removal directory and i need to remove my stuff so its relevant.

hassel67 Apr 23rd, 2013 02:42 AM

ok i got it actually there is no specific forum for removals so i guess i would go to travel forum which is an alternative option for me.

cathies Apr 23rd, 2013 02:49 AM

No it's not really an option for you. I don't think we can help, you'd be better using a google search or your local paper.

hassel67 Apr 23rd, 2013 03:09 AM

yes i am surfing google too but ok let's see may be someone will help otherwise i would have to choose 1 company so i may take a risk, by the thanks for your concern.

I've had good experiences with Bournes. They're a large firm, don't think you can go wrong with them.

Kate Apr 23rd, 2013 04:31 AM

Okay, I have resisted answering this as it isn't travel related but the OP sure is persistent!

The best removal company I have dealt with in London is Britannia (http://www.britannia-movers.co.uk/) – great customer service, very helpful, non-complaining removers. They aren't the cheapest company, but would be my preferred choice if price wasn't the only deciding factor.

hassel67 Apr 24th, 2013 12:13 AM

britannia movers is not mentioned in that directory, the website i had given, but still what kind of public reviews for this company.

hassel67 Apr 24th, 2013 12:16 AM

ok Bournes i will contact this company, thanks.

chartley Apr 24th, 2013 01:02 AM

Britannia Movers can be found at http://www.britannia-movers.co.uk/.

I have no personal experience of the firm, but understand that they are a joint venture consisting of many different independent companies using a common trading name, a bit like BestWestern. They presumably all try to work to a common standard, and can be thrown out if they do not match up.

We have moved several times in England, and usually approach a number of local firms gathered from Yellow Pages and personal observation. Recommendations from friends can also be helpful. Invite the firms round to give you a quotation, and find out if they can do the work on the day you want. Prices will vary between companies, and are an indication of the difficulty of the job and the firm's availability - business can be slow for one company, while another can have more than they can handle.

hassel67 Apr 24th, 2013 02:12 AM

i will consider britannia movers as well, thanks for each detail you have given about britannia.

Cathinjoetown Apr 24th, 2013 02:46 AM

You can get three or more written quotes, removal firms are used to that.

hassel67 Apr 24th, 2013 11:59 PM

i have already done that, i have received few quotes.
