Help quickly! It's been 1 1/2 years! Is my Navigo still good?
I'm leaving for Paris tomorrow and it just occured to em that my Pass Navigo may no be food any more. My last use was in May 2009. Will I need a whole new one?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the Navigo Decouverte can be renewed any time within ten years.
|
Yes, it is still valid an you can reload it. Been using mine for several years now - since they first became available.

Thanks. After some digging around I found that it's good for 8 years. Phew!

plafield,
I was going to say I thought it was good for 5 years. Glad you found out that it was 8. I will make a note of that! Thanks, Joan |
Don't mean to quibble, but I found several references that say it is valid for ten years. Here is one: http://20littlecities.com/practical-...ortation-pass/
Where die you find the eight year reference? I intend to recharge mine this coming May. |

I just found the above and it does clearly state 10 years!! Joan |
I think the old ones (for normal commuters) are (or were) valid for 5 years, because the RATP sent me a new one last year automatically. The tourist version might last longer because it gets less use, or perhaps all of the Navigo cards are valid longer now due to progress in chip technology.
