HELP? Prague, austria?

22-26 zurich/switzerland
27 early AM meeting someone at airpot-31 open
31st train to venice
31st-3 venice
3 train to florence
3-6 florence
7 travel back to zurich
8 fly home

This is my first trip to this part of europe. Wondering what you would recommend for the 27-31st. I was thinking a flight to prague for a few nights versus somewhere nearby like austria by train? Any thoughts?

Which month will be traveling?

Personally, I think four days does not do justice to Switzerland. There's so much to see.

Locarno/Ascona
Berner Oberland
Engadin
Lausanne/Gstaad
Zermatt
Lucerne

Skip Prague and concentrate on this area. You aren't familiar with this region of Europe so why dilute your trip any further than it already is? I am assuming you are doing Lucerne/Luzern while you are in Zurich. If not, add it. Also consider adding the Berner Oberland and the Engadine (my favorite part of CH). Alternatively, you could do 4 days in Italy; Verona and the Como area.

Also recommend that you stay in Switzerland. Stein am Rhein is close to Zurich and is an amazing, fairy-tale looking "village" that would make a wonderful addition to your itinerary.

Also, the Berner Oberland (Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Wengen) area and Luzern would round out your itinerary.
