HELP PLEASE! Last minute change to my trip to Paris

Thank you all for helping with my planned trip to Paris (from London), from Feb 22 – 26.

I was supposed to have a two day meeting in Antwerp, from Feb 20 – 21. Therefore, I added an extra day, decided to travel to Paris on Saturday 18th, spending Saturday and most of Sunday there, then taking the train to Antwerp on Sunday evening.
I booked my Eurostar ticket, to leave London morning of Saturday Feb 18th and return to London on Sunday 26th. All sorted!

Except, the client in Antwerp just cancelled the two day meeting for Feb 20th and 21st – on Friday! So I am stuck with the Eurostar tickets for those dates and will have to take an additional two days of vacation.

Of course, none of this is a problem – two extra days in France is hardly a hardship, it is an opportunity!

I can always spend them in Paris, but I also want to consider somewhere else for those two days. Some gorgeous town I have not been to before, that has an historic centre, museums, generally enough to keep me interested for 1-2 days.

Where do you suggest? I was thinking Dijon perhaps, or Nantes? I have been to neither. Any other suggestions within 3 hours train ride from Paris?

I welcome your suggestions.

Kind regards Ger

Dijon or Nantes would both be good.

Strasbourg?

Potiers?

La Rochelle?

Bordeaux?

We loved Reims - the fabulous cathedral and all the WWII stuff, not to memtion the champagne.

Dijon, Beaune or Strasbourg. We enjoyed Beaune and Dijon.

Didn't think of Reims...Bedar states a good choice, too.

Bordeaux looks good, as it on my travel list, and I can get there in about 3 hours.

Reims is also on my list.

Thanks guys, this is truly appreciated.

Best regards Ger

That should have been Poitiers.

But anyway, Bordeaux is wonderful these days.

I prefer Rennes over Nantes in the Brittany area.

Our favorite cities in France (outside of Paris) are:

Dijon
Toulouse (not within 3 hrs)
Lyon
Rouen
Rennes
Avignon 2 3/4 hrs) & Aix en Provence (3 hrs 10 mins).

Reims is nice - but I would not put it in my "top 10".

Lille. You can also take the Eurostar from there.
