Help planning a trip to Paris, Nice, St Tropez and Switzerland

Hi
My relatives want to travel a trip to Switzerland, Nice, Monaco St Tropez, Paris etc from India
Can you please help me plan the most comfortable route for 12 nights approx.
After their trip they will be visiting me in the Netherlands.
I had thought of this but please guide-
Day 1. Fly into Paris. 2 to 3 nights Paris
Day 3 or 4. Train tgv to Zurich and direct train to Interlaken. Overnight in Interlaken
Day 5. Either do the Jungfraujouch snow excursion or explore Interlaken. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 6. Take a train to car free Zermatt. Free day
Day 8 . Excursion to the Matterhorn "toblerone" glacier. Overnight in Zermatt
Day 9 . Leave for Geneva. Sightseeing in Geneva
Day 10. Tgv train to Nice. Base in Nice and day trips to St tropez, Monaco etc
Day 13. Flight to Netherlands

You are taking enough train trips in different areas of Switzerland to make the Swiss Pass very viable - covers not only trains but postal buses, lake boats like in Interlaken and gives free entry to 470 or so Swiss museums - also 50% off lifts to most mountain tops like in Zermatt. for lots of good info on Swiss transports check www.swisstravelsystem.com; www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com.

For Geneva to Nice check www.voyages.sncf.com - French Railways site for deep discounts if you book very early to get those limited in number discounted ducats on each train. You might look into flying too but then you miss some nice scenery.

A daytrip to St Tropez from Nice is possible - but is a long day. There are lots of other interesting places to visit that are closer. With a trip to St Tropez and Monaco they'll have only one day in Nice.

I would skip St Tropez.

Wallakam,

Looks like a well balanced itineray. Busy but ok.
From Nice to St Trop' the best is a car - 2 hours outside traffic jam season. Traffic jam season is from 12 july to 16 august.
Busy season is any week-end and end of june - mid july, mid august to early september.
We were caught in traffic jams this week-end (long week-end in Europe).

St-Tropez can easily be done by public transportation - take the train to St Raphael and then go by boat - no traffic jams- but I agree, after having been there, with Tulips - lots of places just as nice and famous along the Riviera nearer to Nice.

PQ, it will take ages and boat csts an arm.

Yes I agree - by easily I mean without hassle not quick. It would take the whole day and IMO too that time would be better spent elsewhere nearer to Nice- like St-Paul-de-Vence or other iconic hill town.
