Help on Sicily Hotels
Has anyone stayed at any of these hotels and what were your experiences ?
Palermo Hotel Principe di Villafranca Taormin Villa Ducale Cefalu Relais Santa Anastasia Thanks !!! |
I am currently in Sicily. Our first stop was Palermo at Hotel Principe di Villafrana.
It is located in a residential area that is quaint and quiet. It is about 5-15 mins from attractions. There are a lot of restaurants in the area. Our room was adequate. King bed looking out onto the street. No noise. All rooms are on the second floor. Bathroom was large enough to have two people in it at the same time. I did find the front desk a little bit cool but did not make it unpleasant. Breakfast was good. I will be staying at Villa Fabbiano in Taormina in a few days. You should check it out at their website www.villafabbiano.com Ciao Gail |
We have stayed at teh Villa Ducale, it was a charming place with wonderful service and friendly staff. The ONLY issue we had was the amount of steps down (and lets not forget back up again) into Taormina itself. This was only an issue for us because we had a stroller and a little one. There are buses but not always on Your schedule! LOL! A taxi is terribly expensive in comparison but we did get one when it began pouring rain and wasn't about to let up. Hope this helps. Please believe me it was brilliant otherwise and the view of Mount Etna's lava flows at night glowing in the distance were memorable.

Thanks for the responses. Has anyone stayed at Relais Santa Anastasia outside of Cefalu ? There seems to be mixed reviews of the hotel.
