Help on Car Rentals

Hello everyone; I need recomendations on a reliable and good car rental agencies in Spain ( besides Herts,Avis, or Alamo),We are traveling next fall and would need a car for 8 days. Has anyone used any local agencies?

I just rented a car for driving in Spain from Autoeurope.com. This is the first time we've used them, but they are highly recommended on this forum. I have a friend who always rents from Kemwel.com.

Also Nova Rentacar at www.rentacar-europe.com We used them in Germany last year with no problems.

Another vote for Nova RentaCar.

The prices at easycar.com will shock you--but must pick up and drop in Madrid and drive a stick.

A 3rd vote for Nova. Actually, they are just a go-between, no actual fleet. In Spain, they booked me on Europcar. At the time they offered the cheapest rates compared to Autoeurope or the primary rental companies.

I just booked a car on carjet.com.. They
are currently offering all-inclusive insurance and all. Plus thru 09/30 (booked) extra 10%. Lots of drop off possibilities.

Does anyone know if easycar.com provides insurance on its cars? I can't tell from the website, and my insurance policy does not extend overseas.

I second the vote for carjet.com - fully inclusive rates with no excess in the event of an accident. Easy to find on-airport pick ups. I have used them twice and been very pleased. Because there is no excess, at the end of the visit you park the car up at the airport and drop the keys off through a letterbox and leave. Very easy.

Hi
You usually get a better price from a wholesaler as they use many companies. We've always used AutoEurope. This year we went to Coatia and picked up the car in Slovenia. The rental agency was Avis. We have never had a major problem with it and have used it for about 15 yrs now. They are always able to get us an automatic no matter what country we go yo visit. It is best to rent the car here in the US, rather than waiting until you get to your destination. Your rates will probably be cheaper.
