Help on 5 Day Beach Vacation
My friend and I are in our late 20's and we are looking for a fun 5 day vacation with great beachs and great nightlife (fun singles scene). Can anyone recommend a good spot for us? I've heard about Alicante and Malaga but truthfully am clueless as to where to go...
Thanks in advance for any insights!

In Spain I suggest Benidorm.
It's touristy but as a traverler in my 30's I like beaches & nightlife.
From Benidorm you can head over to Malaga or other beach towns. The clubs and the beach are the only reasons to go to Benidorm.
I also tried Marbella & porto Banus.
These places are more picturesque but the beaches & nightlife are not as good.
Good luck!

Do you mean Marbella?? Benidorm (Alicante) is a couple of hundred miles from Malaga.
As for Gutchie's question: it depends on the month, sometimes on a specific week and also on the water quality. I have been on the Costa del Sol (Malaga) and on the Costa Blanca (Benidorm) when beaches were temporarily closed to bathers because of pollution. There was a bad oil spill off the NW coast of Spain about 18-months ago but it's been cleaned up now. I've never encountered closed beaches in the summertime in el Mar Cantabrico or the Rias Baixas.
In midsummer I would choose northern Spain or Galicia. There's lots of stuff happening in Galicia this summer with it being an Anho Jubilar Xacobeo.
