Help needed with rome accommodation...

Hi everyone,

We will be lucky enough to go back to rome again in september, alas for only 1 night, but still very excited. We desperatly want to stay around the ponte sisto / campo de fiori/ navona area.

Last time we had a wonderful apartment through sleep in italy right next to the ponte sisto for 93 euros a night (june 2007) however this is fully booked and we are having such difficulty finding a bed and breakfast in that area ( especially for only one night)

please please please can anyone help.

Many thanks

Lorraine

Rome
Albergo del Sole al Biscione
$185/night
This little gem in Campo de' Fiori has one of the quaintest multilevel terraces in old Rome; stunning views are guaranteed, with center stage taken by the great dome of Santa Andrea della Valle. Don't be put off by the hotel's neon-ish sign out front -- the atmosphere inside is cozy, with open-beam ceilings and old-fashioned furnishings. Modern comforts include an elevator. Rooms are set out in simple pensione style, featuring early-20th-century wardrobes and veneer bed frames.

i just got this in the frommer's newsletter today!

We loved the Arco del Lauro B&B in Trastevere, a 5 minute walk to the Ponte Sisto, 7 minutes to the campo. We paid 120 E for a double in May. Lorenza was delightful to work with and the place, while simple and small, was spotless and quiet. A very good value and we'll tay here again next time we go.

We stayed here in January and loved it. 5 min walk to Campo dei Fiori.

Lorraine, what was the name of the apt you stayed in June 07? I am looking for an apt for the 4 of us.
