L, I know the ways and mores of airfares can be frustrating. I do wish you luck on your venture. However, as you know, Canada 3000 went belly up in October, and Icelandair, which offered service to Paris, London and Frankfurt from at least some eastern Canadian cities, pulled out in September. The capacity in seats has dropped since the deal you snagged last summer.

Any chance you can go in November instead, or Jan-February as I suggested earlier?

Email a message to viaggiunlimited.com, and send them your preferences. this is a travel agent in Aviano, Italy. I was having trouble finding a good fare to the states and they were able to do "wonders" for me. booking a trip at over 60% off of what I had been finding. Good luck

Sue, I can't go in November or January. I have school aged children so I must go in the summer. I want to avoid August because the hotels are triple the price

Stella, I will visit the site that you are suggesting and see if they offer canadian originating flights

Gretchen, $900 per person to get to Europe to spend 10 days is way out and I will never pay that much, I will go on vacation elsewhere this summer if I have to and hope that the prices go down next year

I think 900 CDN is more like $575 USD, not 450. It's still a very very good rate from North American to Europe in peak season. However, there were some specials on Virgin Atlantic in the paper the other day for only about $400 USD RT (not sure if taxes were included, prob. not at that rate) from East Coast US and I think they went into June some, maybe not the end of June, but at least middle.
