Help needed/Scotland, a rturn

After my short solo fling touring Scotland by rail and bus serious problems developed. The problem being the need to return for a much longer, slower and in-depth look. This of course lead to an even greater one, that being to convince my wife of this need. So far I have not been successful. She somehow feels that one solo trip should suffice. While I, on the other hand feel this desire to flee; escape from work; pressure and the hum drum of ordinary life. I mean, I'm a decent guy, no bar hopping, staying out late or spending our money on foolish things. Gee, I even pay my taxes on time and without a whimper. What I am planning is a full month on the road. Thinking of including bits of England, Wales and mostly a return to the beauty of Scotland. So, short of a divorce, can someone please suggest a way to fulfill this need?

Roger, didn't your mother talk to you about the difference between needs and wants?

You WANT a month in Scotland. Your wife NEEDS to be told that the two of you will end up the trip with a week in Paris.

Or, try hypnosis.

Roger. I hate to say it, but no way would I "let" my husband go for 2 solo trips. If he had that need, he would be sans moi FOREVER. FYI, Judy

Judy, where's the smile? But you are right. However,I can dream. FYI, to pay for my trip, we are going to her place of choice later this year. I think a river cruise in Germany.
