Help! need to get from Italy - Dubrovnik on 6 August
I need to get from Italy - Dubrovnik on Friday 6 August. There was no problem with this until the overnight ferry from Bari - Dubrovnik advised that it is fully booked - so now I have a problem! I will be on the Amalfi Coast in the morning of 6 August and need to be in Dubrovnik by 7 August. I'd be grateful for any suggestions!

Can you get up to Ancona and take the ferry into Split and bus down? That may be an option.

Another option might be to leave from Pescara, Vasto or Giulianova to Hvar or Korcula, then on by ferry/bus to Dubrovnic.
These are high season services run by Snav. www.snav.it Or ... have you thought of flying? Steve |
Eurotraveller & Steve, thanks both for your responses. Do you have any idea how long a bus/ferry takes from Hvar/Korcula? I was looking at that as an option. Flying seems to be very expensive, is there anyone other than Alitalia that fly from Italy into Dubrovnik?

Try Croatia Air at www.croatiaairlines.hr. You can check schedules there, but get actual pricing from a travel agent. I have had great luck with http://www.atlas-croatia.com/english.html. Also be wise to the fact that sometimes round trip tickets are cheaper than one-way, as they sell Business class for one way tickets (at least that was my experience checking costs on flights from Split to Rome)
