We have used Trafalgar Tours a couple of times, and were very satisfied. If you belong to AAA, you can get additional 5% discount, or discount for the travel insurance. This fall we are going to use Go-Ahead Tours for Italy (chose them b/c of the itinerary). So far, my dealings with them have been encouraging - they have a good website at www.goaheadvacations.com. Trafalgar has one, too at www.trafalgartours.com.
Trafalgar is the first-tier tour operator (hotels in 3*-4* range). They also have a budget class called CostSaver. Another thing about Trafalgar is we chose a few optional tours, and did not catch any grief about not taking them all.
We used Grand European Tours last August for Russia and the Baltics and were very happy with them. Their prices are reasonable and the tour - food, hotels, guide, etc - good.
They do much of Europe-
Grand European Tours, Lake Oswego, Oregon 1-800-552-5545
www.getours.com

Celina,

I'm taking my parental units to Europe (London, Paris, Rome) through Grand European Tours this fall. I can't yet vouch for Grand European yet, but their price is reasonable. They do a "Hosted" tour (not fully escorted), so we expect to have plenty of time to see things on our own. They provide air, hotel, transfers between cities and day tours in each city. Best of all, you Chunnel from London to Paris and fly from Paris to Rome. It was the only package we found that allowed you to skip the overnight train from Paris to Rome and fly instead.

Have fun!
