help me plan a trip to venice please.
 

i am visiting germany for work and would love to visit venice on one of the weekends.
-pls help me decide what kind of transportation would be cheapest to go from germany to italy
-i am looking for a cheap place to stay in or around venice.

And, what do you mean by cheap? A bed in a hostel? A pension with shared bath?

i will be in Freiburg germany. please let me know which tranvel option is best for me to go to venice.
i am looking for simple and cheap accomodation in or around venice, don't care if it's just a bed with shared bath as long as it is safe and not filthy.

It's on the waterfront at Giudecca, in an imposing building. It takes about 10 minutes to get from there to S Marco by Vaporetto. You will need to join HI, but that covers you for hostels all over the world and you can join on arrival. Ask for a bed with a view of Venice.
