I have a few questions regarding car rental liability insurance in Scotland:
I have a car rental from AutoEurope. The policy states that I have CDW coverage, however, the deductible for both damage and theft is quite substantial ( approximately) $1200 on each coverage. I am considering purchasing a one time flat fee coverage of CDW from American Express for $24.95 which will not have any deductible.
Also it seems that neither AutoEurope, my AMEX card and Geico do not cover personal liability for injuries, personal property and damage to other vehicles. In other words I will have to purchase additional insurance for this coverage.
Should I purchase the extra coverage from AMEX?
Where should /could I purchase the personal liability?

Just time for a quick comment . . . Liability insurance is mandatory and included in the cost of the rental. It is your own property/the car that you need to cover. Autoeurope typically gives quotes for both just cdw and all inclusive including the excess (deductible)

Leaving for our trip tomorrow night!
I will definitely write a TR after our trip . We have our tickets for lots of events including the Tattoo. Hopefully my back will cooperate ( just finished 5 weeks of PT) . Also meeting up with friends who live in both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
