Help me pack for Amsterdam please!
 

Hi, I'm heading for Amsterdam last week of April. I don't even own any winter clothes. Do I need a heavy coat, gloves, wool sweaters? Is it the rainy season? Thanks!

The extended forecast (through April 14th) in Amsterdam is partly cloudy with highs in the mid 50's and lows of 38...stick to one color scheme and choose pieces that you can mix and match and layer...on my first trip to Europe I packed so many things that I put Liz Taylor to shame.

MiamiGirl, I could always rain in Amsterdam - once was there when it was raining in full on sunshine! Your best best with clothing is to think layers and pack your umbrella. You can always check www.weather.com to see what's going on as well.

aaaarrrrg....that was "It can always rain in Amsterdam" not "I can...." but you probably already figured that out. That's a great time to go and it sounds like you'll be there for the Queen's birthday celebration - those Amsterdammer's get quite crazy!

For some reason only known to Nature and the Gods, it never rains on Queen's Day. (30 April) For the rest of the week, it should be between 10 C and 20 C during the day, 5 C to 15 C at night, and a mix of sun, clouds and rain. Have a nice trip!
