I took my daughter (11 years old) in June and stayed at Hotel de L'Odeon--perfect location, staff was very helpful and the room with two canopies was whimsical. I would definitely stay there again--safe and plenty to do. We even found a cheeseburger around the corner :-)

If you have found a good price on a superior room at the Aubusson I think you will be very pleased to stay there. We have been there and were pleased in every way but one - that was the cost of breakfast but perhaps you can find something nearby. You will not notice any street noise. Our room was very generous and so was the marble bath. The service is excellent. And to be able to walk along the Seine at any time, to linger at night on Pont Neuf, well that really is very special. Enjoy.

The Hotel D'Aubusson has a great reputation and is in a fantastic neighborhood. We usually stay around the corner at the wonderful Relais Christine, but it has gotten very pricey lately. Anyway, the neighborhood is one of my favorites in Paris, although a true budget-breaker because of all the tiny stores with their heartbreakingly gorgeous jewelry and clothes (!!).
