Help: Looking for Streetwise Venice folding map

I can't find my copy of the Venice map from the Streetwise series, which very sadly has been discontinued. I love the series, but I ADORE the Venice map, which is the only one I've ever found that is complete and accurate enough to get me wherever I need to go in that wonderful but confusing city.

Amazon has them for $49 and up, waaay up. I was hoping someone on this board would sell me one they no longer need for a more reasonable price or possibly even lend it to me for a few weeks. Can anyone out there help a desperate Venice-ophile?

I'll lend you mine. Give me an email address.

Paper maps sold outside the immediate locality are becoming history. The National Geographic is still printing recent enough maps http://www.amazon.com/Venice-Nationa.../dp/1597750891.

Do you have a Barnes & Noble near you? They sometimes have streetwise maps.. maybe they still have a Venice one.

Bummer that they are discontinuing them.

It wasn't a paper map, it was laminated. I was really sorry they went out of business, also, thank goodness I have about 15 of them, they are so convenient.

If you loved your map so much, why do you need another one?

YOu can get it on ebay for $37 OBO, no harm in making an offer of $15 or so, I think they sold for around $10. B&N has one for $29, put there might be postage with that although they are in the US. THis company has 4 left for only $25 each, in the US, but I don't know if that includes the city or not, but I'm sure you will know.

No, the water bus one is the one I've got; it doesn't include the city, just shows the water bus routes- it's tiny.

If you'd like to borrow mine and don't want to post an email address here, shellio, go to the website in my profile, sign up and send me a private message from there.

I was also going to suggest the red map. I just ordered and received one for Vienna. It's pretty good.

Oh gosh, the Streetwise maps are my favorite. So sad to hear they're no longer available.

shellio Aug 23rd, 2017 12:30 PM

MmePerdu, how kind, thank you! I have sent you a PM at Gumbo under the name objetsparis.

There are many other Streetwise maps still available at the published price, but there appears to be no stock of the Venice one and those left out there are being scalped like Hamilton tickets!

Christina, the one you link to is not the city map; and as I said, I need another map because I can't find mine.

Massimop, thank you, I will take a look at the Red Map.
