HELP! Looking for inexpensive accommodations in VERONA for September

Hi Everyone,

Looking to do a short stay in VERONA in September.

Does anyone know of an inexpensive small hotel or B&B? Not needing luxury, just clean and safe.

Thanks/Grazie!

Thanks, qwovadis!

Will investigate...

Also does anyone have experience with Lo Stregatto B & B? They have a cute website, but don't list any prices.

We were in Verona 4 years ago for the opera(s) and
stayed three nights at the Residence Carducci.

http://web.tiscali.it/bernigio/

It's in a residential area, about a 10 minute walk from the Arena. Only has 2 rooms. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast,
private bath, and safe.
If you are driving the owner can provide you
with a parking permit, or allow you to park in their garage.
4 years ago it was 80 euro per night.
Friendly, helpful, English speaking owners

We really liked B&B Residenza Carducci when we stayed there a last June (95 euros). It's part of a beautiful Verona house, and our accommodation included breakfast, a spacious kitchen/living room, a nice bedroom, and a good bathroom. The owners were friendly and helpful. It's a very short walk (a couple of blocks) across the bridge to central Verona.

We also stayed at B&B Residenza Carducci and loved it. The couple that own it are very helpful and we liked the neighborhood it was in. We did not get breakfast but had a little kitchenette so we could do coffee ourselves in the morning and make more if we wanted.

Just wanted to post back in this thread and say thanks to everyone who contributed.

We only got to stay 2 days (1 night) in Verona and opted to stay in an agriturismo in the hills above Verona.

I love supporting places that make everything from their own wine and olive oil... to their own soap and marmalade. Needless to say, breakfast kicked some serious butt.

Cheers!

Betty - Would you mind sharing the name of the agriturismo that you stayed in the hills?

Thanks!
