Help locating missing parents in Bulgaria

Hi, our parents have been driving to Balchik from France over the last few days. At 4pm CET yesterday we had a text that they were near Russe, and that the weather was very bad - snow, roads blocked etc.
Since then we have heard nothing. We have alerted the local authorities and also the British embassy is helping but so far no joy. So this is a shot to maybe find someone out there who might spot them. They will be distinctive as a British couple in their 60's driving an old Red, French registered Renault Traffic Van. The planned oute was to come in from Romania to Ruse then to Varna and then Balchik.
If you read this and havent seen them, but know a way to get this message out to any Truckers in the area, please do!
regards

NickHels,
I am concerned about your parents.
Can't help you physically.
But I strongly believe in power of prayer.

I pray for their safety and security and pray hard that you get an early news of them being safe and fine.
Please post us when you get their news.
Good luck...

Your parents are in my prayers as well.

I log on daily to a couple of ski websites in Bulgaria, and know there has been very heavy snow out there.

Can I suggest you post there as well? Some of the regular posters live in Bulgaria and do airport transfers, so might be able to offer some advice.

In the meantime, I wish you and your parents all the very best. Those roads are generally not ones you would want to be stuck in a snowdrift without a decent support system/

Good news! Now you know how they felt when you were a teenager out with friends :)

I hope if I ever get lost, my kids will be as resourceful as you've been!

SO happy to hear they are ok!

I am very happy for you and your parents.
I have been restless for last 2 days, just wanted to know that your parents are safe.

This also proves that a travel site like Fodors can be a very powerful medium of communication in case of calamities, awareness and disaster management.

People from all over the world join hands to do their small bit.

It's time for celebration for you, once they join you.

Cheers!!!
