HELP! Last nite in Venice!
 

We are spending 6 nites in Venice and mistakenly rented an apartment for 5 nites (and not available for the 6th!) Apt. is on Rio Orseolo near Piazza San Marco - we have a 10:00 AM flight on Sun. 6/3 from Marco Polo Airport. We need a hotel for one night (6/2-6/3) and would like a decent sleep, shower, etc. prior to our trip home (U.S. via Paris). Should we stay near airport? San Marco? Best way to get to airport in the early morning (w/luggage...)

Thanks for any help you can give - this is my first post, but I've read many that have helped plan our dream vacation! First trip to Italy!!!

Otherwise if you prefer to stay in Venice itself you could stay in the San Marco area - and catch the early morning Alilaguna vaporetto to the airport. For details see:

Thanks so much for the suggestions and links - I cancelled the room at Albergo al Gambero and went with the "tried and true" Marriott - that way we can have a nice dinner, go to the casino (!!) and get a good nights sleep before departing. Ciao!
