Help in Italy

My wife and I will be ending a cruise in Venice and need suggestions in how to get from Venice to the Amalfi Coast where we will be staying for the following 3 nights.
thanks

Flying might be the easiest option. Try the regular airlines, but also Meridana.

Train travel would take at least 7 hours of actual travel time which wouldn't include the 2 connections you would need to make.

thanks....any thoughts about how long it would take by car?

I also think flying is probaby the easiest, but there aren't many daily flights. I think Air One and Meridiana may be the only operators. If you decide to fly, don't leave it too late to buy your tickets. I'd arrange for a car and driver to meet you in Naples and take you to your hotel.

According to Viamichelin.com, the drive would be almost 9 hours (not counting the time to pick up the car, pit stops, meals, etc.). In addition to the car rental cost and fuel, there would be 42 euros in tolls.

There's always the night train. Leaves Venice about midnight and arrives Naples about 10. Where are you staying on the coast?

It's pretty much the length of Italy (you DO have a map, I hope?). I wouldn't drive it, myself, not with air and train options available.
