Help!! i Need Advice!!!!
Hello!
My frind and I will be at a competition for weightlifting in NICE, France.
We are staying over from the 11th of July -20th of July(flying back to US on 20th from Nice).
I was trying to plan for Venice AND Paris.
Do you think we have enough time? 3 days in Paris and 4 in Venice?
I have been able to find flights, trains, etc. for both cities....but I could really use some advice!!
Should we just stick to Venice?
Paris?
please help!!!

Will you be back to Europe? If you will, then by all means stay put in Paris. If not I'd bite the bullet and go for 4 days in Paris, 3 in Venice. IMHO there's more to see and do in Paris.
Just one turnips opinion...

Thank you soo much!!
This is our only chance to visit Europe until far in the future.
I was begining to worry that both cities were too much...but you really helped us to decide on both.
Do you have any other advice...especially about Venice, since it seems the most difficult to stay and get around in?
thanks again!

Hi r,
My suggestion is to visit Paris and go to Venice when you see Italy.
You are going to lose one day of your visit just getting from Paris to Venice and another day from Venice to Nice.
You can get PREMS fares of as low as 40E
Nice/Paris at www.sncf.com

Venice is a VERY easy to get around in since there's no road traffic. You just walk everywhere or hop on a vaporetto (bus boat).
Your schedule is a bit tight IMO mostly because you have to return to Nice for your flight home.
There is an overnight train you can take between Venice and Paris.

Thank you all so very much!
I think we are going to try for both destinations...since you all are very supportive of it.
Thank you for the train info too!
I was wondering about the vaporettos and how much a they cost? how about a gondola ride?
Silly questions i'm sure!

In Venice I'd suggest staying at B & B Gli angeli. We loved it. The price was very reasonable and I liked the location as well. A women named Sonia owns the B&B. You can reach her at [email protected] We found the place doingan online search but I know you can get a better rate if you contact her directly. Have a great trip.
