Hi - You should make sure and visit Ravello while you are in that area. It is a beautiful small town and well worth the visit to have dinner in the town and music in the air. Check it out !!!

Jill, I wanted to add to this conversation, when I emailed the Villa Mary to ask about stairs, the owners said that it was "about 30 stairs to their hotel." However, I think that what they actually meant is that it is 30 STAIRCASES. I have to check with my italian teacher about how to confirm that in italian. But the Villa Mary looks beautiful and I look forward to taking different routes down. I look forward to seeing pictures of the rooms at the Merincanto, that was one of our final choices as well. Spent a few days at the Marincanto last May and loved it as did my sister when she stayed there in October. Fantastic views and great staff.
