Help! How do I get from Bedford to my hotel in South kensington?

I am trying to take the train into London from Bedford. I am staying at the Holiday Inn Kensington (Not the Forum) and it shows that the Gloucester station is right across the street. I can't seem to find out where (if possible),to change lines. Can someone help me out, please?

Midland Mainline trains go to St Pancras and need the walk to Kings Cross tube.

First Capital Connect trains go to the below-ground Kings Cross/St Pancras Thameslink station, from where it's a shorter, barrier-free walk to the Piccadilly Line tube platform. Or stay on board to Farringdon, where the westbound Circle Line to Gloucester Rd is just over the bridge at the next platform. Easier with cumbersome luggage, though it takes longer. Since there's no barrier between the tube and First Capital Connect platforms, you MUST buy a through ticket to Gloucester Rd at Bedford, or you're liable to a fine.

I agree that the route with just one change at Farringdon is your best choice.

Thank you all for your help! It's so nice to know that whenever I need help or advice, someone is always willing to offer their help.

Fortunately, I will now not need to take the train in. DH's Uncle has offered to drive us into London, so there is no longer the need.

Thanks again for your help anyways!
