Help! Hotmail keeps blocking my account
 

I'm in Europe for four weeks. I've had a Hotmail account for ten years and now I am getting a message that says, Hotmail has blocked your account. We will send you a text to your mobile phone. I have not activated my phone for Europe travel, so I got another Hotmail account and it worked for a week. Now I get the same message. I really didn't want to activate my mobile phone for Europe due to horror stories I have heard about people who forgot (and I will) to turn off their moble phone.

Any suggestions?

if you are getting this message it's because Hotmail thinks you are using your email to send spam - either because of where you are logging in from, or someone has actually phished your account. With he mobile phone code , why don;t you just try to log in with your phone right there, use the code and then turn it off before you do anything else? I have the same protection on my gmail account and i don't know of another way to verify it.

Are you using a VPN?

Maybe you could set up a gmail account?
