Help - Hotel in Aosta then transport to Courmayeur
 

I was happy to see Courmayeur recommended on a recent thread, as we are also planning to ski there next year.

Can anyone offer any inside information on the transport from Aosta to Courmayeur? I understand that there is a regular bus service, but where do you catch it from and how often does it run?

Also, is there a nice, reasonably-priced hotel located close to the bus depot (as we won't have a car)?

Can't help you on Aosta hotels, but here's the link to the bus service:

Click on Valle d'Aosta, then "Torino-Aosta-Courmayeur".

Thanks Andre, that does help.I had the impression the buses ran more frequently, so it's just as well to find out now and plan for a specific time, rather than be waiting for hours.

I think you can also take the train, then switch to a bus somewhere near Courmayeur, but the SADEM service seems like the best option if the schedule isn't too inconvenient.
