help!! getting from toulouse to cinque terre
 

i've asked this already but it was few months ago and the schedules have all changed! i need to get from Toulouse, France to Cinque Terre, Italy. Back in October I thought i had a plan all figured out. B/F and I would take then train to Perpignan and bus it to Girona then fly to Genoa. did a mock booking in october since the schedules weren't out for april yet and hoped everything would stay the same. unfortunately not! sorry for the rant. anyway...long story short, can anyone suggest a route that will take us from Toulouse to Cinque Terre without :

a. breaking the bank. i was hoping to find something for under $150/pp. $300 total
b. taking all day to travel. i'd like to be the hotel before 5pm. something about being lost in the dark in unknown territory creeps me out. and
c. fly into either genoa or pisa since they are the closest to CT. i checked milan and it just takes too long via train.

apologies for the whining, i'm just at my wit's end. anything anyone can suggest would be appreciated greatly!

oh yes, i did find one option with easyjet. fly from toulouse-paris orly. and then paris orly-pisa. but it would only give me less than 2 hours to reconnect and i'm afraid it won't be enough time.

I think obviously you have to fly if your criteria is you don't want it to take very long. I have no other suggestions except to note that I transfer at CDG with less than 2 hrs time and it doesn't bother me. I wouldn't rule out an option based on 2 hr connection time at Orly myself, seems excessively strict criteria. Besides, if you have all this connection time, that certainly extends the transit time. If that is the same airline where you are connecting, I'd worry even less as I presume they would have to get you your bags eventually (if you are checking). If you aren't checking, I really wouldn't worry.

Otherwise, you can get flights to Genoa from London. You could fly Ryanair from Perpignan to London Stansted and then from there to Genoa. You'd have to check schedules and costs.

Or you could fly from Toulouse to Milan on Easyjet, and then I suppose get to where you are going from Milan somehow. Milan isn't that far from where you intended to go by train anyway (Genoa).

There is a train that leaves Toulouse at 8:17 am & arrives in Monterosso at 8:42 pm. Only 2 train changes. It is hard to get lost in one of the Cinque Terre towns if you arrive by train.
