Help Getting from Faro to Lisbon

We are travelling to Portugal in May from New York

We plant to fly to Porto, and then go north to south, ending for 3 nights of golf near Qunta do lago.
We need to get from Faro to Lisbon airport for a 12:15 direct flight back to NY.

What is the best way to get from Faro to Lisbon airport in time for this flight. So far I have only found a 6:00 AM TAP flight- really don't want to take this option.

ANy ideas?

Are there any airlines that have flights from Faro to Lisbon besides TAP

What about speed train? or is private car service the best option?

Thanks,

settle down with rome2rio to get an overview, just don't trust the details so click through.

I'd look into a private driver to be sure you get there by time - you probably have to check in a few hours early - better go the night before to Lisbon as you never know what problems can pop up with cars or trains. For train info check www.seat61.com; www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com.

But again trains won't take you directly to airport once in Lisbon so have to change to metro.

There are comfortable trains from Faro to Lisbon from just €15 booked at Portuguese Railways www.cp.pt

You need to be at the airport at 10:15, therefore you really need to stay overnight in Lisbon.

I agree with the others. I always plan to stay in the same city as my flight for long haul flights. Why add to the stress?

Thanks so much, I think you are right. We will stay near airport for the flight home the next day.

Any reasonable but clean hotel recommendations near the airport in Lisbon?

Also have you golfed in the Algarve at any place you would recommend

Th airport is not far from the center of Lisbon, no need to stay close to it. Taxis are cheap and there is an airport bus. The metro also goes to the airport now but you might need to change.

Yes agree with thursdayds - stay in central Lisbon and savor the city one more evening rather than in sterile environment of airport, which is not far out.

We just booked a ride with a driver from Bla Bla Cars. We are going from Seville to Lisbon but seems like a great deal and they may have something that works with your time.
