Help for Spain?

Any suggestions on cities to visit in Spain.
I have already been to Barcelona. I would like to go to Madrid. What would be some other suggestions?

IMO, a lot depends on when you are going. I'd avoid the south in the summer and the north coast [rain] in the winter. San Sebastian is my Number 1.

San Sebastian would be my top pick. It can easily be combined (via air) with a trip to Madrid, and I would leave time in Madrid to do a day trip to Toledo.
