Help finding a Train from Innsbruck to Verona!

I am trying to find a direct train from Innsbruck to Verona on Jan 1st, 2006. I have tried to find tickets from numerous sites, and have found they are unable to offer that trip. Is that true? I find it hard to believe that there is no direct route from Innsbruck to Verona...two very large cities!

Thanks for any help!

Use http://www.trenitalia.it/en/index.html and click on International. The train departs at 26 minutes after each odd hour, beginning at 09:26 (11:26, 13:26, etc) and takes 3 hrs 33 minutes.

Best wishes,

Rex

You may not be able to get the information for January 1 now, because there are schedule changes in December.

In any case, there are regular EuroCity trains every two hours from Innsbruck (with no changes) to Verona Porta Nuova (the main train station in Verona). The trip takes about 3.5 hours.

Nor do I see any need to buy your ticket now. With trains every two hours, I'm fairly confident that you can pick them up when you arrive in Austria. And don't, whatever you do, buy tickets through Raileurope; they
add a hefty surcharge.

You can go to www.bahn.de to check out the above information.

The Swiss schedudler lists 5 trains to Verona from Innsbruck starting at 9:26.
The leave every 2 hours, with the last one departing at 17:26. As previously stated, the trip takes 3:33 to complete. There are quite a few stops along the way.

The train ride is VERY scenic, going through the Brenner Pass on the Austria-Italy border.
