Help finding a great Castle/Hotel in France

My mom who is traveling with us to France in October/November this year has asked for only one thing.....to sleep In a large castle.

Every time I think I found something, she says she wants a huge castle......I want to knock her socks off.....can you help? We are traveling to Colmar and Strasbourg then from Vimy doing the coast till Mont St Michel and then to the Loire Valley before going to Paris.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Sleeping in a huge castle might come with a huge price tag. Here is where you can find appropriate accommodations:

Someone here posted this recently; I hadn't seen this particular site before. You can search by map.

For "large" castles In the Champagne region, check out Hattonchâtel Château (www.hattonchatelchateau.com). This one is fairly reasonably priced, as is the Château d’Isenbourg in Alsace.

In the midi-Pyrénées is Château de la Treyne, Suites are 600€–1200€/night (www.chateaudelatreyne.com).

The Château d’Esclimont, in the Pays de la Loire, is the classic 16th-century castle with suites from 585€–965€/night (http://www.grandesetapes.com/en/cast...sclimont-paris).
