HELP fast ferry split to hvar town
 

we were wanting to take the fast ferry from split to hvar town on sept 10. does anyone know when it leaves and the cost. also can we buy tickets the day before in split or on the internet. thanks, vic.

Last summer we took the 3:00 p.m. fast catamaran. You need to ask for the fast ferry. We needed to buy them on the day of our trip while we were in Split, but earlier in the day. I'm not sure if you can buy them a day ahead, and last year there was no way to buy them on the internet.

For our return to Split from Hvar we needed to buy the tickets a day or 2 ahead from the travel offices just across from where the ferries arrive.

We booked our trip through a travel agent and the tickets were included, so it has to be possible to buy them in advance. I forget what time the boat left, but think it was around 9:30 a.m.

There is a morning fast ferry and an afternoon one. You couldn't buy them on line last year, but some ferry tickets you could prebuy, once you were there, but others not. It's really up to the individual ride.

Jadrolinija (www.jadrolinija.hr) has a fast catamaran from Split to Hvar at 1500 daily.
The KRILO (www.krilo.hr) leaves Split at 1700 daily.
Both are scheduled to take 50 minutes to get to Hvar town.

there is a fast ferry that day at 11:30. You can buy tickets there in split.
