Help during tourist season

Unfortunately, my long-awaited trip to Italy will be at the height of tourist season in July. Any suggestions at all on where to go, what to watch out for, etc?

How long will your trip be, what places are you planning on visiting, what is your budget like, will you be driving or taking public transport. within Italy,
and what kinds of things are you interested in?

Selci - - see www.domani-usa.com/rome/vallerosa.html for more details. I am totally serious.

But if you prefer to go some places in Italy which your friends back home have of before, maybe you should tell us what you WANT to get out of your trip to Italy. What does Italy mean to you, and WHY have YOU chosen to go there this year?

Oh, and things to look out for? sunburn - - and gaining too much weight.

Best wishes,

Rex

I am going with a friend of mine and we will be in Southern Europe in general for 2 weeks. How we are going to split the time, we aren't sure, but I've always wanted to go to Italy (the place of my ancestors), especially Rome. Another passion of mine is food food food! The gaining weight thing will be a problem

Oh and we will be on a fairly strict budget (being in college and all) and taking public transportation definitely!
