Help choosing an apartment for Venice

Hello! My fiancé and I will be in Venice for part of our honeymoon. We have not been there before. After doing some research I have these as some options. Any advice? I'm not entirely sure how to choose!

Some of the things I bring to a choice:

Price
Reviews
What floor is the apartment on?
Is there an overhead shower?
If I'm there for awhile, is there a washing machine?
Wifi

On the third apartment, that corner kitchen sink might dissuade me (I hate them) and the shower looks like there is no clear barrier between the shower floor and the bathroom floor.

Those are the sort of things that I use to eliminate some of my choices.

You may have completely different criteria. Think about what you'd really like, since there are so many choices out there.

Fourth and fifth links are identical.

I like the first and fourth.

Question of whether the second will be noisy.

BigRuss Mar 11th, 2015 08:24 AM

Oh yeah, the second had no reviews. Make sure there are plenty of good ones. The 1st, 3rd and 4th all had a suitable number of kudos from the guests.

Yes, I did already narrow down by reviews and was leaning against the second one for that reason.

Location wise any better than others?

Thank you for the input!

This was one more we liked, but were unsure about the location https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/2174230

Based on location, I'd take any of the others discussed above over the last one you noted. And Venice is both highly walkable and great to just wander and find the odd ___ (shop, resto, palace, etc) so the 1st, 3rd and 4th are all decent locations. The third may be a bit more "central" but you're dealing with a relatively small area anyway. Venice isn't London or New York (never mind spread out megalopolises like Sydney).

I agree with BigRuss that the location of the last one you listed wouldn't be my choice.

Thank you so much for the help!

Hi

My choice is the third. They've "decked" it out really well! The first has lovely views but will be noisy and not at all private for honeymooners. The others have narrow stairs to bedrooms etc. Argh - not a fan of this arrangement. As first timers you'll find San Marco convenient but very busy. However I think Venice will be perfect for your honeymoon. It is THE most romantic city and you will have many fond memories.
